Worship by Giving
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.

Biblical
Malachi questions the character of someone who does not honor God with their tithes and offerings (Mal. 3:8-10).
Blessed
We like to call it 'Blessing Time'. The blessing is really upon the giver (Mal. 3:10, Acts 20:35).
Benefits
The giver gives, not because of what they getting return, which makes the benefits all that much sweeter (Mal. 3:11)
When God and your money collide
Tithing
- It’s an increase, seed of the land, or fruit of the tree
- It’s Holy; separated to God
- It’s the first fruits (2 Chronicles 31:5)
- Tithe = a tenth part
A tithe is 10% of my increase; it is separated to God, and it is first.
Offering
- The giving of offerings is based on freewill (2 Cor. 9:6-8)
- ‘All things common’ is not redistribution
- The Temple Offering (Ex. 30:11-16)
Freewill offerings are separate and different from tithes. Additionally, a safe basis for freewill offerings is half the tithe; or five (5) percent of your increase.
In both nature and grace, God is a generous giver, and he would be godly must follow the divine example.
