The Bible presents the good news of Jesus Christ. Through its pages, we find life and even health. We discover the way to live Godly in this present world. 1st PC applies these Biblical precepts and principles to daily living in our post-modern world.
1st PC is not liberal or conservative, we are Biblical. Paul encouraged the young minister Timothy with the following foresight: ""For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;" (1 Tim. 1:10). Additionally, he told Timothy, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" (2 Tim. 4:3). Paul also warned Titus, "Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers" (Titus 1:9). Again, he said, ""But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:" (Titus 2:1).
The Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths (Ps. 119:105). The Word is life and health to all them that find it (Pro. 4:22). The Word is the only thing able to discern the thoughts and intents of our hearts (Heb. 4:12).
